How to Configure Disclaimer?

 

UCMA Configuration

UCMA must be configured on the Admin Portal server for Disclaimer configuration.

Disclaimer Settings

Disclaimer settings can be found in the Admin Portal in the following path Admin Portal → Settings → Disclaimer
or by using this link <AccessPortal>/admin/settings?category=settings_disclaimer_category_header

Enable Disclaimer Policy - Select ‘Yes’ to enable Disclaimer
Run disclaimer on - Select on which server (Edge or Front-End) disclaimer will be running.
This is defined based on what disclaimer policy you will be running as explained in the next section.
SIP filter service must be installed on the server for enabling Disclaimer.
Policy rules memory cache time (minutes) - Define how long should the policies be cached in the SIP Filter's memory in order to improve performance.
Small values may impact performance.
Local domain list - List of local domains. Supports multiple values and wildcards '*'.
Include sub-domains of the internal SIP domain - By default the sub-domains of the domains configured in the Internal SIP domain list are included when the disclaimer is calculated. Disable if you wish to exclude the sub-domains.
Bot Sender Name - Name that will be presented to user as sender of disclaimer IM message.
Bot Sender SIP - SIP address that will be used as sender of disclaimer IM messages.

 

Disclaimer Policies

Disclaimer offers different options to inform both internal and external users of the terms to use the service or any other compliance or regulation need.
Disclaimer module must be installed on the Front End to get full functionality of the Disclaimer.

Please see table below in order to understand the functional limitation when installed only on the Edge Server.

Terms:
Internal / External: Describes if the user is part of the company domain or a federated / guest user.
Remote/ Local: Describes the location from which a user is connecting from - local network or remote network.

Internal User Client

Disclaimer will be included in the first IM message received.

Disclaimer will be sent only to internal or external remote users in the conference.

IM Conversation (one on one)

Disclaimer that will be included with the first IM message sent while the communication is a conversation (one on one).

Covers all conversations

Conversation with a remote user.
In mobile - only conversation with an external user.
