In this guide, we are going to learn how to install SphereShield for SfB's dedicated app for Maas360

MDM integration has 2 types of behaviors:

• Conditional Registration - Limiting registration only to managed devices by the MDM vendor.
• Conditional Access -  Consistent validation that the device is managed and did not become out of compliance.

Regarding Conditional Access SphereShield for SfB can function according to the following approaches:

• WiFi - Registration can only be done from a WiFi network that requires a certificate in order to connect to. The certificate is managed by the MDM.
• SkypeShield Application -  Registration can be performed only by using a specific SkypeShield (SkS) app, that is only available from the corporate store/catalog to the devices that are managed.
• VPN Redirection - Registration can only be done from a device that is configured to work with Split Tunnel VPN managed by the MDM.

You can implement the app for both Android and iOS devices:

• Android  - deployment is performed using the MaaS360 SDK which allows interaction with the Airwatch Agent in order to collect data about the user and device. For example, UDID.
• iOS  - deployment is performed using AppConfig technology.

Prerequisites

Before we begin the installation we need to make sure we have a SkypeShield app package containing:

• SkypeShield_MaaS360.ipa
• SkypeShield_MaaS360.apk
• AppConfig.txt

Enable Mobile Application Management

1. Open MaaS360 Admin and click on Setup → Settings
   
   
   
2. Make sure Mobile Application Management is enabled and click it.
3. Enable 'WorkPlace App security' 
   

Upload SkypeShield Application to App Catalog

For iOS

1. In Maas360's Admin Portal go to Apps → Catalog
   
   
2. Click on  and select 'Enterprise App for iOS'
   
   
   
3. Click Browse and add the 'SkypeShield-MaaS360.ipa' file.
4. Click 

For Android

1. In Maas360's Admin Portal go to Apps → Catalog
   
   
2. Click on  and select 'Enterprise App for Android'
   
   
   
3. Click Browse and add the 'SkypeShield-MaaS360.apk' file.
4. Click 

Configure SphereShield for SfB for your company

Create WorkPlace Personal Policy

1. In MaaS360's Admin Portal go to Security → Policies
2. Click 
3. Configure your policy according to your personal preference:
   
   
   
   
4. Click 

Edit SkypeShield WorkPlace Policy

After you've created your policy a page describing the policy will be presented to you. In this page click 
If you have exited this screen go to Security → Policies, click the app you created and select  

1. Make sure 'Workplace App Container' is enabled.
   

For iOS

1. Expand Workplace Apps and click 
   
   
2. For the iOS App field start typing SkypShield and select the app:
   
   
   
3. Under Configuration File Click Add New. 
4. Select the AppConfig.txt file provided to you in the package from AGAT
   
   
   
5. Click 
   
   
6. Select the config file you've created 
   

For Android

1. Expand Workplace Apps and click 
   
   
2. For the Android App field start typing SkypShield and select the app:
