Logs & Settings Action Plan for Ethical Wall or DLP - Mobile\Mac\WebApp (Bastion)
Please follow this action plan in order to collect the logs:
1. Change the LAC Log Level and enable dumps
- Backup the Lync_Access_Control.xml file and edit it:
- Change the <logging> tag in Lync_Access_Control.xml:
- In <main> tag configure <severity>debug</severity>
- In <dumps> tag change <enabled>true</enabled>
- Change the <logging> tag in Lync_Access_Control.xml:
- Save changes
2. Restart the Bastion Service
- Open PowerShell
- execute: Restart-Service bastion
3. Change Access Portal Log Level
- Open the Access Portal WebUI
- Browse to /admin/logfiles
- Change the log level to DEBUG
4. Replicate the issue
5. Collect the log LAC logs and the Dumps folder
- LAC_<poolname>_<date>.log
- dumps folder for relevant date (C:\Agat\Logs\Lync_Access_Control\Dumps)
6. Collect the Lync_Access_Control.xml
7. Revert back to the old Lync_Access_Control.xml
8. Restart the Bastion Service
9. Export Access Portal Logs
Open the Access Portal WebUI
Browse to /admin/logfiles
Click on Export
Send AGAT Support the AccessPortal.log file.
10. Send AGAT Software Support the collected log
The following files are expected to be delivered following this plan:
- LAC_<poolname>_<date>.log from the relevant time frame in Debug mode
- LAC Traffic dumps folder from the relevant time frame
- Lync_Access_Control.xml
- Access Portal logs and settings
Default file location could be found here.
Please include the following information:
a. Time frames of issue
b. Users involved (SIP Address, AD username, UPN, etc.)
d. Client logs
